Voltas unveils its New Brand shop in Meerut

~ Consolidates its No. 1 position in Western UP with a 26.1% market share ~

Meerut, 5th July, 2013 - Consolidating its No. 1 position, established in FY12-13 in an intensely competitive market, Voltas Limited, a Tata Group company, today inaugurated its 'Voltas Brand Shop' in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, one of the highest growing market in UP. In its endeavor in expanding its 7000+retail footprint, the brand store (located in Mangal Pandey Nagar, Meerut) was inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Bakshi, COO, UPBG, Voltas Limited. 

Voltas' new Brand Shop in Meerut features a well-designed and visually appealing display of all Voltas' product range – part of an enhanced shopping experience for customers. With a convenient and eye-catching location in the city, the shop is aimed to enhance Voltas' brand experience and visibility in days to come.

Speaking on the growth strategy for Meerut, Mr. Pradeep Bakshi, COO, UPBG, Voltas Limited, said, "We are pleased to launch the Voltas Brand Shop in Meerut, which will further strengthen our leadership position in this market. The Voltas AC brand has ridden the wave of excitement and popular appeal of its 'All-Weather AC' offering, to reach a high point of 19.8% market share in May 2013, in terms of sales volume at an All India level. West UP, which accounts for almost 6% of the All India AC market, Voltas leads with a 26.1% market share. The brand also holds the No 1 ranking in the overall state of UP, which accounts for more than 10% of the market." 

This exclusive Voltas Brand shop will have the entire Cooling Appliances product range by Voltas, including ‘All Weather ACs’ as the star attraction. Standardized branding and a new format of display & retail merchandising will further enhance the appeal of the store.

Close on heels with the launch of its extensive range of Air Conditioners for 2013, the latest product range available at the store was introduced keeping in mind the varied requirements of consumers' with their diversity of priorities, weather conditions, income groups and aesthetic tastes. The push for growth is backed by extensive groundwork to ensure reach and availability across all markets. The All India retail footprint is being augmented and the service infrastructure is being tuned to greater speed and reach.
