Voltas initiates Jagmag Desh Mera
Having complied voluntarily with the government's energy efficiency-labeling program and system of test checks in government-approved laboratories last year, Voltas has moved notches ahead this year adding depth to the cause of energy efficiency in the interest of a global resource conservation initiative. The company is a proud partner in a nationwide drive 'Lighting up a billion lives' campaign being conducted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). What it promises is a movement that will make every effort to light up each and every home in India and in the process enrich the lives of millions in India. The drive is titled JAGMAG desh mera, and relies entirely on sustainable energy resources like solar power, which have a zero carbon footprint. While this has certainly catapulted the brand onto a different league dominated by none so far, it recognizes the pressing need towards low running cost desired by consumers and a larger global issue of energy conservation.
“The theme was built on a progressive thought process, considering our successful mark as an energy efficient brand it only made sense to augment on a platform that consumers had given a thumbs up by endorsing star rated products. While the initiative, which engages patrons through active participation, has catapulted the brand onto a different league dominated by none so far, it recognizes the pressing need towards low running costs desired by consumers and addressing a larger global issue of energy conservation. This conclusively helps build good will and a preferred brand status in the minds of consumers. I think everyone should be a part of this benign movement called Jagmag” says Dhiraj Chadha, Product Manager, Voltas Limited.
